Landscapes showcase the Yarra Valley, inland Australia, rivers, ocean and beaches. Figurative work concentrates on body language. 2010 Winner of the Australian Art Excellence Gold Medallion. Christine paints in response to environment, people, seasons, events and situation. She endeavours to involve her viewers by creating emotional connections between themselves and her work. Often she paints onsite where the colours, sights and sounds become her inspiration. Christine is a well-respected demonstrator, tutor and judge. Christine illustrated “Black Saturday was my dad’s birthday”, and “Can we go home now?”, and has just published “An artist’s Journey”, a book which explores and traces the personal events and key artistic insights that underpin her artist’s journey.
